How long do you have to wait to get dentures after a tooth extraction? With same-day dentures, you can have your teeth removed and new dentures ready on the same day. During your initial consultation, our dentists will evaluate your oral health and determine if you’re a good candidate for immediate denture placement. Otherwise, you’ll want to wait six to eight weeks after a tooth extraction to get dentures. This will allow time for the swelling to diminish and your gums to fully heal.
